so many pleats

dress - c/o JUNAROSE / jacket - Asos Curve / Shoes - Asos (old)

A few weeks ago blogger babe Marianne Nykjaer, who is also one of the Junarose style insiders, published a post all about what to wear this summer if you are not into the 70's hippie look. I'm telling you her words could have come right from my mouth. It's not that I don't like the 70's. I like them on others but it is just not my type of fashion. I have already purchased a flared denim and an A-line skirt with buttons at the center front and I really do love them. But I combine them with clean and minimalistic items and that's it.
I love the pictures shown by Marianne because these reflect exactly my taste, simply everything I love in fashion: fashion that is simply brilliant in its simplicity thanks to intelligent cuts. Besides the japanese look I am really rooting for the military look. I always had a weakness for uniforms and I love to wear them myself. Well, so it happened that this post had inspired me immensely for this outfit. I have already seen the Junarose dress at the Curvy fashion fair in January and I have also shown a picture here on my blog in my recap. I love me a good shift dress and these pleats are making it really special with a kind of 20's twist. I thought it would be a great idea to pair it with my untility vest and I think it worked out beautifully.
