awaiting autumn

I guess the most of you probably already know by now that I am not a big fan of summer. If I could I would always choose the cold. I guess I might have mentioned it once or twice, well more like a thousand times and yes, I may have felt a few eye-rolling from you ;)
Joking aside, I had a conversation a few days ago with a friend of mine in which we philosophized why autumn and winter has got such better fashion to offer. Well at least I am feeling this way while my friend is rather feeling neutral towards this subject. In the end we came to the conclusion that summer rather stands for sexiness and autumn/winter for being dressed, which also expresses in fashion. Now I don't mean that winter clothes aren't sexy but you have to admit that clothing in summer is made to wear the least amount of clothes possible while at winter time you are capable of wearing as much clothes together as you like. And this is exactly where lies the crux. I could finally determine where my love for winter clothes comes from. It is simply the fact that you can combine much more pieces together. While mostly wearing 1-2 items at one time in summer, you are wearing at least 3 pieces in winter when you count the jacket. You can build complete look way easier, looks you cannot even achieve in summer.
In summer I probably could have only combined a shirt and sandals with this leather skirt I am wearing. I bet I wouldn't even have worn the skirt regarding the extremly hot temperatures we had this year. But now, since autumn has emerged, I can finally wear my beloved leather pieces and combine them with knits (which is always a lovely look) and gorgeous jackets or in this case with a sleeveless jacket. I can also finally wear boots again. The whole look becomes complete and receives a certain statement which I could never achieve with summer clothes.
