killer lips - anastasia beverly hills liquid lipsticks




Now honestly, how gorgeous are these colours?
I have been all over these lipsticks as soon as I have seen them the first time at the Instagram paige from Anastasia Beveryl Hills. I am following ABH since a while now because I am simply fascinated by their amazing products. ABH became famous through their various eyebrow products. Soon followed the powder contour kits and afterwards the cream contour kits. So the newest products are these liquid lipsticks. In fact they are like a gloss or lip stain but when drying they receive a beautiful matte finish and this amazing colour picture.
The application is very simple. If you like to you can easily use them with a lipliner to define your lip contour first or you can simply use them without anything else, like I did here. To receive a streak-free finish I recommend to apply two layers oft he gloss, quickly before it completely dries. Since these glosses dry and therefore don’t moisturize I highly suggest to use a lip balm before the application. My routine is to apply balm first, let it dry while I work on the complete makeup and then mattify my lips with loose poweder before I apply the lip gloss.
Lots of you may wonder if a matte and drying lip gloss is feeling terribly dry on the lips. Well, I would say yes and no. It is a fact, these liquid lipsticks dry and are also long lasting, but someomes who is used to long lasting lip products will have absolutely no problems with this one. This gloss is of course not creamy at all , but other long lasting lipssticks neither are and with most other long lasting lip sticks you will have to re-moist them with a special balm or gloss so that they won’t dry out and crumble. I didn’t experience such things with these lipsticks. But also here, if you find the consistency too dry for your taste you can always apply a bit of a balm or a lipgloss afterwards. For those of you who don’t like long lasting lip products at all I would recommend to give these a miss.
Now let’s talk about the quality of the durability. I have come across some blogs where the author stated that these aren’t long lasting at all, that they crumble and grease. I of course don’t say that these are lies, but for me these lipsticks really worked perfectly. I apply them around 8 am before I leave my apartment and they are still on when I return at 8pm. At work I eat mostly around two meals and I drink several drinks without the colour coming off. The only thing I have been experiencing is that I loose a bit colour at the inner part of my lips where the lips touch and rub. But that is really not unusual and you can re-apply the gloss very easily. Ordering at ABH has been really easy and easy had also been the shipping. They are luckily shipping to Germany, the shipping costs are somewhat around 17 Dollars and I have received my parcel only one week after I have placed the order. What do you want more?
So the bottom line is: the colours are amazingly beautiful, the application is ridiculously easy and they are indeed long lasting. I can and will recommend this product anytime and will probably always re-buy them (since I only have 6 colours yet ;) ). I can’t emphasize enough how much I love these colours. I feel that here in Germany you can mainly acquire classical reds, nudes and rose- and pink colours. But these colours guarantee lots of attention!


Jetzt mal im Ernst, wie toll sind diese Farben?
Als ich sie zum ersten Mal auf der Instagram Seite von Anastasia Beverly Hills gesehen hatte war es um mich geschehen. Ich verfolge alles rund um ABH schon seit einer Weile weil mich die Produkte einfach faszinieren. Berühmt wurden ABH durch ihre tollen Augenbrauen Produkte. Danach folgten schon bald Contouring Paletten in Puder- und danach in Creme- Form. Die neuesten Produkte sind nun diese Liquid Lipsticks, wie sie laut ABH bezeichnet werden. Im Grunde sind es Glosse, die zunächst sehr flüssig sind und beim Trocknen matt werden und dieses atemberaubende Farbbild erzeugen.
Der Auftrag ist eigentlich ganz einfach. Wer mag kann auch mit einem Lipliner zuerst seine Konturen zeichnen und darüber den Gloss auftragen, oder, so wie ich es hier gemacht habe, einfach nur mit dem Gloss arbeiten. Um einen streifenfreien Auftrag zu erzielen empfehle ich zwei Lagen schnell übereinander aufzutragen noch bevor die Farbe völlig getrocknet ist. Da die Glosse trocknen und dadurch natürlich keine Feuchtigkeit spenden empfehle ich vor dem Auftrag einen Balsam aufzutragen und diesen abzupudern. Ich mache es immer so, dass ich den Balsam vor dem Schminken auftrage, während ich an dem Makeup arbeite einziehen lasse und dann kurz vorm Auftragen den Lippenstiftes den Mund mit losem Puder abmattiere. 
Vielen stellt sich nun bestimmt die Frage ob so ein mattierender Gloss nicht furchtbar trocken auf den Lippen ist. Jaein, würde ich sagen. Fakt ist, der Gloss trocknet und ist auch langanhaltend, aber wer langanhaltende Lippenstifte und deren Konsistenz gewohnt ist, wird hier auch kein Problem haben. Der Gloss ist natürlich nicht cremig, aber das sind andere langanhaltende Lippenstifte auch nicht und müssen sogar oft mit einem beiliegenden Gloss nachgefettet werden damit die Farbe nicht abbröckelt. Das habe ich bei diesen Lippenstiften nicht gehabt. Aber wem die Konsistenz etwas zu trocken ist, kann auch ganz einfach mit einem Tupfer Balsam oder Gloss nachhelfen. Wer grundsätzlich keine langanhaltenden Lippenstifte mag, dem würde ich von diesem Produkt abraten.
Und nun zu der Haltbarkeit. Ich habe nun schon den ein oder anderen Blog gelesen auf dem behauptet wurde, die Farbe hätte sich nach kürzester Zeit gelöst, gebröckelt und geschmiert. Ich unterstelle niemanden gelogen zu haben, aber ich muss sagen bei mir halten die Lippenstifte hervorragend. Ich trage sie morgens um 8 Uhr auf bevor ich aus dem Haus gehe und es hält bis ich abends gegen 20 Uhr wieder nach Hause komme und dazwischen nehme ich zwei Mahlzeiten inklusive unzählige Getränke zu mir. Es geht allerhöchstens ein wenig Farbe an der Innenseite, dort wo die Lippen aneinanderreiben verloren, was sich aber ganz leicht wieder nachtragen lässt.
Der Versand und die Bestellung waren zudem ganz einfach. ABH liefert auch nach Deutschland, die Versandkosten liegen bei ca. 17 Dollar und erhalten hatte ich mein Paket bereits eine Woche nach Bestellung. Was will man mehr?
Mein Fazit also: Die Farben sind wunderschön, der Auftrag kinderleicht und die Haltbarkeit hält was sie verspricht. Ich kann und werde dieses Produkt immer weiterempfehlen und mir auch immer wieder nachkaufen (noch habe ich ja nur 6 Farben ;) ). Die Farben sind der Hammer. Es sind Farben die man nicht oft in Deutschland bekommt. Ich habe eh das Gefühl, dass es hier fast nur klassische Rottöne, Nudes und Rosé- und Pink- Töne im Überfluss gibt. Doch diese Farben garantieren Aufmerksamkeit!
Sad Girl is a deep berry red with beautiful sparkly particles in it. In fact it is the only one of the 20 colours which contains glitter. I like this colour a lot because it is both matte and glittery. A very special colour.

 Sad Girl ist ein dunkles, beeriges Rot mit Glitzerpartikeln. Genau genommen ist dies die einzige der 20 Farbvarianten, die Glitzer beinhaltet. Ich mag diese Farbe wirklich sehr weil sie zugleich matt und glitzernd ist. Eine wirklich sehr spezielle Farbe.

Vintage is a beautiful blue undertoned purple. It is absolutely striking and eye-catching. Just love this one. Plus blue undertoned colours are perfect if your teeth aren't white. They simply balance out the yellow colour of the teeth.

 Vintage ist ein wunderschönes, blaustichiges Lila. Die farbe ist absolut auffallend und plakativ. Ich liebe diese Farbe einfach. Zudem sind blaustichige Farben perfekt für leicht gelbliche Zähne, weil der blaue Unterton das gelb der Zähne ausgleicht.

Heathers.... well, how gorgeous is this colour? It is a dark, burgundy red with blue undertones. I think this colour would be just half as special if it wouldn't bee matte. This one is an absolute allrounder. You can wear it anywhere and anytime.

 Heathers... nunja, ist diese Farbe nicht großartig? Es ist ein dunkles, bordeauxfarbenes Rot mit bläulichen Untertönen. Ich denke diese Farbe wäre nur halb so besonders wenn sie nicht matt wäre. Diese Farbe ist ein absoluter Alleskönner. Man kann ihn überallhin und wirklich immer tragen.

OMFG... this is Neon Coral. I absolutely love this colour and the way it makes my skin colour glow. According to the name this one is really neon and it effin glowwws. I'm in LOVE!

 OMFG... das hier ist Neon Coral. I liebe diese Farbe und vor allem wie sie meine Hautfarbe zum Leuchten bringt. Wie der name bereits sagt, die Farbe ist Neon und dieses Ding leuchtet ohne ende. Ich bin VERLIEBT!

Vamp doesn't promise too much. This colour is made for vamps. It is dark red but with a kind of warm, brown-ish undertone. It is sophisticated and fun at the same time. 

 Vamp verspricht nicht zu viel. Diese Farbe schreit vamp durch und durch. Es ist ein dunkles Rot aber mit einem warmen, bräunlichen Unterton. Es ist so elegant und macht gleichzeitig total viel Spaß.

This one is poisonous. It is Potion and eff yes, this one is AMAZING. It is a really, really dark blue toned purple which almost looks like a black colour. This one is daring and will distract everyone around you :)
Dieses hier ist "giftig". Es ist Potion und ja, verdammt nochmal, es ist UNGLAUBLICH. Die Farbe ist ein sehr, sehr dunkles, blaustichiges Lila welches schon fast Schwarz erscheint. Diese Farbe ist wirklich gewagt und wird jeden in eurer Nähe ablenken :)
